My little Mia is not so little anymore – she turned 6 yesterday!
Next year is big school, and school uniforms..
We had a great celebration in a stunning big park – with our ‘Woodlands Picnic Party’, it seemed perfect! The weather was really grotty when we woke up, but it turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day!
I can’t stress enough how important it is to document these special days, they only come once a year! I did spend a fair amount behind the camera, but you know, a shoemakers’s child never has shoes.. this time, I snapped a few, enough to capture the day…
waking up and getting presents!p.s.. the cat is not the present.. its her trusty steed..
all dressed up.. p.s.. that ribbon in her hair.. pretty amazing she wore it.. she’s a total Tomboy! (She has two big brothers.. go figure!)
We do pretty breakfasts.. French toast in a heart shape 🙂
We had a good old fashioned party, with egg & spoon races, dunking apples and the best.. waterballoons.. with my husband as the target..
I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to party food for kids.. We gave them fairly healthy food.. pretzels, carrot & celery sticks, cheese, muffins, and they each received a picnic pack.. a healthy roll, and a small treat.. I must tell you.. it was all gobbled up..
